Classic Vanilla Custard

Serve vanilla custard along side a slice of chocolate loaf cake, sticky toffee pudding, over baked apples or in a trifle.

Serves: 4-6

Cooking Time: 10 min
Total:  10 min

Ingredients
2 eggs
3 tbsp. cornstarch
3 cups milk, or almond milk
3 tbsp. sugar, to taste
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions
  1. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup milk.
  2. In a small pot, whisk eggs, milk and cornstarch mixture over low heat.
  3. Stir continuously until mixture thickens to desired consistency.
  4. Add sugar and vanilla. Taste and adjust if necessary.
  5. Serve immediately. Custard will thicken as it cools.
