Serves: 2 cups
1 tin (9 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2-3 tbsp. natural peanut butter, or more
3-4 tbsp. brown sugar, not packed
1 tsp. vanilla essence
1 tsp. cocoa powder, or more as needed
1/4 cup almond milk, or more as needed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon, or more, as needed
chocolate chips to garnish
Directions
- In a blender or food processor, combine chickpeas, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, peanut butter, cinnamon and vanilla and blend until desired consistency is reached.
- Thin with more milk if necessary and adjust to taste.
- Transfer from blender into a bowl garnish with chocolate chips. Serve as a dip or spread for graham crackers, cinnamon pita chips, or as a filling for stuffed French toast or ants on a log.
