Dessert Hummus

A creamy dessert hummus perfect for dips or stuffing french toast.

Serves: 2 cups

Ingredients
1 tin (9 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2-3 tbsp. natural peanut butter, or more
3-4 tbsp. brown sugar, not packed
1 tsp. vanilla essence
1 tsp. cocoa powder, or more as needed
1/4 cup almond milk, or more as needed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon, or more, as needed
chocolate chips to garnish

Directions
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine chickpeas, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, peanut butter, cinnamon and vanilla and blend until desired consistency is reached.
  2. Thin with more milk if necessary and adjust to taste.
  3. Transfer from blender into a bowl garnish with chocolate chips.  Serve as a dip or spread for graham crackers, cinnamon pita chips, or as a filling for stuffed French toast or ants on a log.
