- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, spices and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla, zest, sugar, oil and apple sauce.
- Add wet mixture into the dry bowl and stir until combined.
- Spoon into the wells of a greased muffin tin and push three pear slices into the batter of each muffin.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400F for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
