Serves: 8-10 squares
1/4 cup honey
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter, melted

Directions
- Beat together egg, buttermilk and honey.
- In a separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
- Add dry to wet, including melted butter, and mix well.
- Transfer batter into a greased 8 inch baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 425 F for 15 minutes, or until the top turned golden and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Cut into squares and serve immediately with butter.
