5 red bell peppers
Directions
- Set oven to broil and let it preheat.
- Wash red peppers and slice the tops. Remove the seeds and the inner ribs and slice in half.
- Arrange peppers on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, with the skin side facing upward.
- Broil for 15-20 minutes. As the peppers broil, the skins will start to blister and turn black.
- Remove peppers from oven and transfer them into a medium size bowl or a ziplock bag. Cover bowl with a plate or seal ziplock bag to allow peppers to steam for 15 minutes.
- After the peppers have steamed, peel off the skin.
- Use in salads, as sandwich or pizza toppings, or in sauces.
