Ingredients
1 quality French baguette, white, whole wheat, sourdough etc.
3-4 tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil, or fresh basil
pepper

Directions
- In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, oregano, basil and pepper.
- Slice baguette in half, then cut 1 inch slices, either straight or on the diagonal.
- Spread butter mixture on the inside of each slice.
- Wrap each half baguette in tin foil. If desired, freeze one of them for later.
- Place in a preheated oven at 350 F for 20-30 minutes, or until the bread has warmed and the butter mixture has melted. Can also be heated from frozen.
