Chocolate Covered Matzah


Chocolate covered matzah with a caramel sauce. Sweet snacks for Passover!

Prep Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 10-12 min
Total: 25-30 min

Ingredients
7-8 sheets of matzah
3/4 cup unsalted butter or vegan margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips (or more)

Directions
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter.  Add sugar and bring to a boil for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Prepare three baking sheets lined with parchment paper.  Arrange two whole sheets of matzah and two half pieces on the baking sheet. 
  3. Spread butter sugar sauce over matzah with a spoon or spatula.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.  The sauce should become bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.  Once the chocolate chips melt, after about 2-3 minutes, spread evenly across matzah with a knife or spatula.
  6. Let cool and chocolate set.
  7. Break into smaller pieces and serve.  Store in the fridge.
